Karikalan(2015)
Karikalan is an unproduced 2015 Tamil historical action film directed by Li Kannan. The film was to star Vikram as the lead hero, with Zarine Khan in a supporting role. Set in ancient Tamil Nadu, the story follows King Karikalan who loses his kingdom after a betrayal and seeks revenge. The film was rumored to be inspired by the Hollywood epic Gladiator. It was notable for casting Bollywood actress Zarine Khan in a sword-fighting warrior princess role. The project was announced in 2012 but never entered production.

Storyline
King Karikalan rules a prosperous Tamil kingdom. A trusted advisor betrays him, leading to war. The king loses his family and his throne. With the help of a warrior princess, he gathers a small army to fight back and reclaim his kingdom.
