• Vikram personally recommended Pasupathy to director Dharani for Dhool (2003). Pasupathy was a theatre actor with almost no film experience. Vikram had seen him on stage and told Dharani: 'This guy will steal the show.' He did.
• In Majaa (2005), Vikram deliberately slowed down his usual high-energy performance so Pasupathy's deadpan comedy could land. Pasupathy later said Vikram would whisper 'wait for my reaction' before a punchline — they timed each other like a band.
• During Arul (2004), Pasupathy's father passed away mid-shoot. Vikram quietly rescheduled all their scenes for two weeks and didn't tell the producer — he just said Pasupathy had 'a personal emergency'. They never spoke about it publicly.
• The success of their double-act in Dhool directly led to director Dharani casting them again in Arul. That film's villain role was originally written for a different actor — but Dharani rewrote it for Pasupathy after seeing their Dhool rushes.

• In 10 Enradhukulla (2015), Vikram played a mute character — so Pasupathy had to carry all the dialogue in their scenes together. Vikram would rehearse with him using only facial expressions, forcing Pasupathy to sharpen his timing without verbal cues.
