Karthikeya is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language mystery thriller film directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It stars Nikhil Siddhartha as Karthikeya, a medical student, and Swathi Reddy as Srivalli. The story follows Karthikeya as he investigates the mysterious closure of a Subrahmanya Swami temple in the village of Subrahmanyapuram. The temple is believed to be cursed, with a snake killing anyone who enters. Karthikeya uses science and logic to uncover a conspiracy involving a rare diamond and a hypnotized snake. The film was praised for its fresh concept, tight screenplay, and Nikhil's performance. It was a commercial success, grossing over ₹20 crore on a budget of ₹4–6 crore. Karthikeya was released on 24 October 2014, during Diwali.
