Thendral Sudum(1989)
Thendral Sudum (1989) is a Tamil action thriller film directed by Manobala. The film stars Nizhalgal Ravi and Radikaa in lead roles. It is a remake of the Hindi film Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), which was based on the Australian miniseries Return to Eden (1983). The story follows Kala, a wealthy woman who survives a murder attempt by her husband Anand during their honeymoon. After undergoing plastic surgery, she adopts a new identity and seeks revenge. The film was written by M. Karunanidhi, who also wrote the dialogues. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja debuted as a playback singer in this film. Thendral Sudum was released on 10 March 1989 and received positive reviews for its performances and characterisation.
