Pasa Paravaigal(1988)
Paasa Paravaigal is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language legal drama film directed by Cochin Haneefa and written by M. Karunanidhi. The film stars Sivakumar, Lakshmi, Mohan, and Radhika in lead roles. It follows Dr. Sukumar, who is accused of murdering his brother-in-law, leading to a courtroom battle where his sister, a lawyer, prosecutes him. The narrative explores sibling love, sacrifice, and the consequences of assumptions. The film is a remake of Haneefa's own 1986 Malayalam film Moonnu Masangalku Mumbu. It won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Second Best Film, and Radhika won the Cinema Express Award for Best Actress. The music, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, features the popular song 'Thenpandi Thamizhe'. The film was released on 29 April 1988 and became a commercial success.
