Thambi Thanga Kambi is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by K. Shankar and produced by S. Ganesh under Sankaralaya Pictures. The film stars Vijayakanth, Lakshmi, Ramya Krishnan, and Rekha in lead roles. It is a remake of the 1986 Hindi film Jaal. The story follows Shankar, a poor auto driver who accepts a dangerous mission from a wealthy woman named Ganga to protect her family from two ruthless villains. The film marks a departure from director K. Shankar's usual Hindu mythological films, venturing into action territory. The Indian Express called it a garish commercial film but praised the ambitiously shot climax sequence. The music was composed by Gangai Amaran. The film was released on 15 July 1988.

Storyline
