Natpu (transl. Friendship) is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Ameerjan and written by Vairamuthu. The film stars Karthik, Sripriya, Radha Ravi, and Senthil in lead roles. It is based on a novel by Vairamuthu that was originally serialized in the Tamil magazine Kumudam. The story follows two close friends whose bond is shattered when they both fall in love with the same woman. The film explores themes of jealousy, betrayal, and the cost of broken trust. It was produced with a strong emphasis on realistic village life and emotional conflict. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, with lyrics by Vairamuthu.
