Uthami(1985)
Uthami is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language crime drama film directed by M. Vellaichami. It stars Sujatha, Rajesh, and Sangeeta in lead roles. The story follows an unhappily married couple whose relationship collapses after an affair. The wife becomes a diamond smuggler, while the husband fakes his death and starts a new family. Years later, their son, a police officer, unknowingly investigates his own stepmother. The film explores themes of betrayal, identity, and revenge. It was produced by Maruthi Movie Arts with music by Shankar–Ganesh. The film released on 27 February 1985 and received praise for its performances and soundtrack.

Storyline
