'Agni Sakshi' (1982) is a Tamil-language psychological drama directed by K. Balachander. The film stars Sivakumar as Aravindan and Saritha as Kannamma, a woman with schizophrenia. The story follows a newly married couple as the husband discovers his wife's severe mental illness, rooted in a childhood trauma. The film explores the limits of love and the stigma surrounding mental health in Indian society. Saritha won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance. Despite critical praise, the film failed commercially upon its Diwali release on 14 November 1982.

Storyline
Aravindan, a dance school owner, marries the brilliant Kannamma, unaware of her severe schizophrenia. Her violent episodes and traumatic past threaten to destroy their marriage. As Aravindan fights to save her, he discovers that some wounds are too deep for love to heal.
