Sangili (film)(1982)
'Sangili' is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by C. V. Rajendran. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan in a dual role as DSP Saravanan and the criminal Sangili, alongside Sripriya, Prabhu, Major Sundarrajan, and M. N. Nambiar. The story follows a police officer who is murdered while investigating a smuggling ring. His father, a police inspector-general, recruits a violent criminal who resembles his son to impersonate him and catch the killers. The film is a remake of the 1976 Hindi film 'Kalicharan'. It marked the acting debut of Prabhu, Sivaji Ganesan's son. The film received negative reviews from critics who compared it unfavorably to the original. It was released on 14 April 1982.

Storyline
