Mangala Nayagi(1980)
Mangala Nayagi is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju. The film stars Srikanth and K. R. Vijaya in lead roles. It is a remake of the 1978 Hindi film Saajan Bina Suhagan. The story follows a devoted wife who suffers after her husband brings a second wife into their home. The film marked the on-screen acting debut of Shobana as a child artist. The soundtrack was composed by V. Kumar with lyrics by Vaali. Critics praised the performances of Vijaya and Srikanth, as well as the direction and cinematography. The film was released on 21 March 1980.

Storyline
Mangala is a loving wife and mother whose happy life shatters when her husband Raju marries a second woman. The new wife manipulates Raju into throwing Mangala out of the house. Mangala must fight to survive and protect her daughter while Raju learns the truth about her sacrifice.
