Ullasa Paravaigal(1980)
Ullasa Paravaigal (transl. Joyful birds) is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by C. V. Rajendran. The film stars Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri, with Unni Mary, Major Sundarrajan, and Suruli Rajan in supporting roles. The story follows Ravi, a wealthy young man who develops pyrophobia after his lover Shenbagam dies in a house fire set by her lustful uncle. He travels to Europe for treatment, where he reunites with his childhood friend Nirmala and slowly heals. The film is notable for its extensive shooting locations in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and the United States. Ilaiyaraaja's soundtrack, featuring hits like 'Germaniyin Senthen Malare', became a chartbuster. The film was a box office success and was later dubbed into Hindi as Do Dil Deewane and Telugu as Prema Pichchi. It was released on 7 March 1980.

Storyline
After his lover dies in a fire, Ravi develops a crippling fear of flames. His family takes him to Europe for treatment, where he meets his childhood friend Nirmala. As he begins to heal, his greedy uncle follows him overseas, plotting to kill him for his fortune. Ravi must conquer his deepest fear to survive.
