Orey Vaanam Orey Bhoomi is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by I. V. Sasi. The film stars Jaishankar, K. R. Vijaya, and Seema in lead roles. The story follows Shankar, a village man who travels to America for a better life. He falls in love with Lakshmi back home but meets Seetha in the United States. The film explores the conflict between tradition and modernity through a love triangle. It was the first Tamil film to be shot in the United States, with locations including Niagara Falls and Kennedy Airport. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. The film was released on 22 June 1979 and was simultaneously made in Malayalam as Ezhamkadalinakkare.

Storyline
