Karunai Ullam(1978)
'Karunai Ullam' is a 1978 Tamil-language drama film directed by A. Bhimsingh and written by Jayakanthan. The film stars Srikanth, K. R. Vijaya, Vijayakumar, Jaya Guhanathan, and Suman. It is based on Jayakanthan's novel 'Karunaiyinal Alla'. The story follows Gauri, a middle-aged servant who reunites with her former lover and must choose between him and a new, honest suitor named Mudaliar. The film explores themes of loneliness, self-respect, and second chances. Srikanth won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance. The film was released on 29 September 1978.
