Moondru Mudichu is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language romantic thriller film directed and co-written by K. Balachander. It stars Kamal Haasan, Sridevi, and Rajinikanth. The story follows an 18-year-old girl and two roommates who both fall in love with her. The film is a remake of the Telugu film O Seeta Katha (1974). It marked Sridevi's first adult role and Rajinikanth's first major Tamil film. The soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Kannadasan. The film was released on Diwali day, 22 October 1976, and became a commercial success.

Storyline
Selvi is an 18-year-old girl living in a Chennai apartment complex. Two roommates, Balaji and Prasath, both fall for her. Balaji loves her honestly, but Prasath has secret, cruel intentions. Selvi must navigate their dangerous games to protect herself and find happiness.
