Akkarai Pachai is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by N. Venkatesh and written by A. S. Prakasam. The film stars Jaishankar, Ravichandran, Nagesh, Lakshmi, and Jayachitra in lead roles. The story follows two educated wives who constantly find faults with their husbands and believe other men would make them happier. They decide to exchange husbands, only to discover that every marriage has its own challenges. The film explores the theme of appreciating one's own blessings. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan, with lyrics by Kannadasan. The title song "Ikkaraikku Akkarai Pachai" gained popularity. Cinematography was handled by A. Vincent. The film was produced by G. K. Storyline
