Anbu Sagodharargal(1973)
'Anbu Sagodharargal' (transl. Dear Brothers) is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language family drama directed by Lakshmi Deepak. The film stars S. V. Ranga Rao, Major Sundarrajan, A. V. M. Rajan, Jaishankar, Jamuna, and Devika. It is a remake of the director's own Telugu film 'Pandanti Kapuram' (1972). The story follows three brothers who face poverty, a cruel moneylender, and a tragic misunderstanding that tears their family apart. The film explores themes of sacrifice, forgiveness, and brotherly love. It was praised by critics for the strong performances of its ensemble cast. Kanthan of 'Kalki' magazine called the film enjoyable due to the great acting. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan with lyrics by Vaali and Kannadasan. The film was released on 4 May 1973 and runs for 176 minutes.

Storyline
Three poor brothers — Dharmaraj, Selvaraj, and Durairaj — live together with their sick mother. When a cruel moneylender threatens to take their land, the brothers fight back. But a deadly accident leads to a terrible misunderstanding. One brother goes to prison to protect another. The family breaks apart. Can they find their way back to each other before it is too late?
