Kalam Vellum is a 1970 Indian Tamil-language Western film directed, produced, and filmed by M. Karnan. The cast includes Jaishankar, Vijayakumari, and Vijaya Lalitha. The story follows Velu, a poor farmer who becomes a dacoit after his sister is killed by a landlord. The film blends cowboy aesthetics with Tamil village drama. Storyline
A poor farmer named Velu loses his sister to a cruel landlord. He kills the landlord's brother and joins a gang of dacoits. Velu becomes the gang leader and robs the rich to help the poor. But his real goal is revenge against the landlord who destroyed his family.
