Jeevanamsam(1968)
Jeevanamsam (transl. Alimony) is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Malliyam Rajagopal in his directorial debut. The film stars Jaishankar and C. R. Vijayakumari, with A. V. M. Rajan, Pushpalatha, Sivakumar, debutante Lakshmi, and Nagesh in supporting roles. The story follows Moorthi, a trusting husband whose wife Lalitha leaves him for another man and demands alimony in court. The film explores the emotional and legal battles of a broken marriage. Based on Rajagopal's own stage play, the film was a box office success and noted for its realistic portrayal of marital conflict. It was released on 21 October 1968.
