Lakshimi Kalyanam(1968)
Lakshmi Kalyanam is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language family drama film directed by G. Or. Nathan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Sowcar Janaki, Vennira Aadai Nirmala, K. Balaji, and M. N. Nambiar. The story follows Kathirvel and his father Egambaram as they struggle to arrange the marriage of Lakshmi, the daughter of a single mother with a hidden past. The plot is driven by a series of failed marriage proposals, a lecherous villain, and the secret of Lakshmi's fugitive father. The film won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Film and four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, including Best Music Director for M. S. Viswanathan. It was released on 15 November 1968.

Storyline
A kind-hearted man named Kathirvel takes on the responsibility of finding a husband for Lakshmi, the daughter of a single mother. But every potential groom backs out due to the schemes of a lecherous old man and the secret of Lakshmi's fugitive father. Kathirvel must overcome these obstacles to secure Lakshmi's future.
