Teecharamma(1968)
Teecharamma is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Puttanna Kanagal. The lead cast includes Jaishankar, Muthuraman, C. R. Vijayakumari, and Vanisri. The story follows a school teacher who sacrifices her own romantic love to ensure her best friend's happiness. Set in a small Tamil Nadu town, the film explores the emotional conflict between personal desire and deep friendship. The film was praised by critics for its honest storytelling and lack of commercial compromises like fight scenes or dance numbers. It was a commercial success upon release. M. G. Ramachandran, then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, personally appreciated Vijayakumari's performance. The film was remade in Malayalam as Premashilpi in 1978. Teecharamma released on 12 April 1968.

Storyline
