Madi Veettu Mappilai(1967)
'Madi Veettu Mappilai' is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by S. K. A. Chari. It stars Ravichandran and Jayalalithaa in the lead roles, with Nagesh, Rama Prabha, V. K. Ramasamy, and Major Sundarrajan in supporting parts. The story follows Somu, a poor student who marries Meena and moves into her family home, where his mother-in-law insults him daily. The film is a remake of the Telugu film 'Illarikam' (1959). It was noted by Kalki magazine for being saved by its comedy despite various flaws. The music was composed by T. Chalapathi Rao with lyrics by Kannadasan. The film released on 23 June 1967.

Storyline
A poor student named Somu marries the woman he loves and moves into her wealthy family's home. His mother-in-law hates him and insults him every day. Meanwhile, greedy relatives plot to steal the family fortune. Somu must prove his worth and reunite with his long-lost sister before his marriage falls apart.
