Vazhkai Padagu(1965)
Vazhkai Padagu (1965) is a Tamil-language drama film directed by C. Srinivasan and produced by S. S. Vasan under Gemini Studios. The film stars Gemini Ganesan, Devika, and R. Muthuraman, with S. V. Ranga Rao, K. Balaji, and R. S. Manohar in supporting roles. The story follows Seetha, a young stage actress who falls in love with Rajan after he rescues her from a wealthy stalker. Their marriage faces challenges from Rajan's prejudiced father and a murder accusation that tests their trust. The film is a remake of Gemini Studios' own Hindi film Zindagi (1964). It was praised for Devika's performance and became a commercial success. The soundtrack, composed by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy with lyrics by Kannadasan, features popular songs. Vazhkai Padagu was released on 26 March 1965.

Storyline

Rajan, the son of a zamindar, rescues her and they fall in love. Their marriage faces opposition from Rajan's father, and a murder accusation threatens to tear them apart.
