Kalai Koil(1964)
Kalai Koil is a 1964 Indian Tamil-language musical drama film written and directed by C. V. Sridhar. The cast includes S. V. Subbaiah, R. Muthuraman, Chandrakantha, and Rajasree in lead roles, with Nagesh, Jayanthi, and V. S. Raghavan in supporting parts. The story follows a poor veena vidwan who rises to fame through his musical talent but nearly destroys his career through liquor abuse and a relationship with a danseuse. The film was produced by M. S. Viswanathan under the banner Bhagyalakshmi Productions, with music composed by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy. Despite positive critical reviews for its performances, music, and direction, the film was not commercially successful. It was released on 25 September 1964.

Storyline
