  • It was the first Tamil film to be shot entirely at AVM Studios, using indoor sets for most scenes.
  • Comedian Nagesh played a dual role, appearing as both Vasu and his disguised character, a rare feat at the time.
  • The song 'Kannum Kannum' was filmed in a single long take, a technical novelty for its era.
  • Director C.V. Sridhar also wrote the story and dialogue, which was uncommon for major directors then.
  • The film's success led to a Hindi remake titled 'Pyar Kiye Jaa' released the same year.
  • It was one of the earliest Tamil films to use the 'comedy of errors' plot centered on mistaken identity.
