Trivia

  • The film's title 'Asmaan Se Ooncha' translates to 'Higher Than the Sky', which reflects the theme of ambition and rivalry.
  • This was one of the few films where action star Jeetendra played a character named 'King', a role more associated with intense drama than his usual dancing hero image.
  • Director Mehul Kumar would later achieve major commercial success with the iconic revenge drama 'Krantiveer' just a few years later in 1994.
  • The movie features a soundtrack by composer Bappi Lahiri, known for his disco hits, but the songs did not become major chartbusters.
  • Actor Raj Babbar, who plays the police officer, was a prominent figure in parallel cinema and his casting in this commercial action film was notable.
  • The film's release coincided with a period where multi-starrer action dramas were popular, but it did not perform strongly at the box office.
  • A key plot point involves the two rivals becoming friends, a narrative device less common in the typically straightforward revenge stories of the era.
