Pushpak(1988)
Pushpak (1988) is a Hindi silent black comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. It stars Kamal Haasan, Amala Akkineni, and Tinnu Anand. The story follows an unemployed graduate who steals the identity of a rich businessman and moves into his luxury hotel suite. The film is set in Bangalore, mostly at the Windsor Manor Hotel and a shabby lodge called Anand Bhavan. The core conflict arises when a contract killer mistakes the protagonist for the real rich man. Pushpak is notable for having no spoken dialogues, relying entirely on visual storytelling and background music. It was a major commercial success, running for 150 days in 8 Indian states. The film won 7 awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada. Satyajit Ray praised the film for its innovative love scene set at a funeral. Pushpak was released on November 27, 1987, in India.

Storyline
