Trivia

  • The film's title 'Falak' means 'sky' in Hindi, but the story is grounded in crime and revenge rather than any celestial theme.
  • It was one of the few 1980s Bollywood films to feature actor Raj Kiran in a prominent role, though he was more known for his work in the previous decade.
  • The movie includes a cameo by veteran actor Shreeram Lagoo, who often played authoritative or political figures in Hindi cinema.
  • Director Shashilal K. Nair was primarily known as a cinematographer, and this was one of his early directorial ventures in Hindi films.
  • The soundtrack was composed by Bappi Lahiri, who was famous for disco hits, but here the music had a more dramatic, suspenseful tone.
  • Despite its action-drama plot, the film did not perform well at the box office and is rarely recalled in mainstream Bollywood discussions today.
  • Some scenes were shot in typical 1980s Mumbai industrial settings, reflecting the era's urban crime film aesthetics.
