• They first shared screen space in Subhash Ghai's 'Ram Lakhan' (1989), but they barely had a scene together. Jackie was the hero, Paresh played a small role as a cop. Their real partnership started years later when they both got cast as comic foils in 'Hulchul' (1995).
• In 'Bhagam Bhag' (2006), Paresh played the straight man to Jackie's loud, chaotic energy. Jackie once said in an interview that Paresh would deliberately pause his lines to let Jackie's physical comedy land first — then undercut it with a deadpan stare.
