Baana Kaathadi (2010) is a Tamil romantic action film written and directed by Badri Venkatesh. It stars Atharvaa in his lead debut, alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Prasanna. The story follows Ramesh, a kite-loving young man who accidentally steals a pendrive from Priya, a fashion technology student. Their initial conflict blossoms into love, but a murder witness puts Ramesh in grave danger. The film is notable for being the final screen appearance of veteran actor Murali, Atharvaa's father, who appears in a guest role. It was shot partly at the International Kites Festival in Gujarat, a first for Tamil cinema. The soundtrack by Yuvan Shankar Raja was well received. The film earned critical acclaim and above-average box office success.

Storyline
