• Prasanna and Karunas first met on the set of Ragasiyamai (2003) — but they weren't cast together. Karunas was already a popular comedian, while Prasanna was a newcomer. The director, Selva, deliberately paired them because he wanted a fresh comic duo that could bounce off each other without ego.
• In Kasthuri Maan (2005), Karunas improvised a whole scene where he mimics Prasanna's character trying to impress a girl. Prasanna later said he couldn't keep a straight face — the director kept the take because Prasanna's genuine laughter made the scene feel real.
• During the shoot of Sadhu Miranda (2008), Prasanna and Karunas shared a room in a small lodge in Kumbakonam for three weeks. They'd rehearse dialogues at night and prank the crew by swapping roles during rehearsals — Karunas would play the hero's lines in his comic style, and Prasanna would try Karunas's deadpan delivery.
