Angaaray(1986)
Angaaray is a 1986 Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Rajesh Sethi. It stars Raj Babbar and Smita Patil in lead roles, with Rajesh Khanna in a special appearance. The story follows Aarti Verma, an educated woman who becomes the secretary to a wealthy man named Jolly. After Jolly rapes her, Aarti faces rejection from society and her fiancé's family. She descends into a life as a tawaif. Her brother is killed while trying to avenge her. Aarti ultimately murders Jolly and faces trial. The film is notable for its bold treatment of rape and victim-blaming. The screenplay was written by Salim Khan. The film earned Rs. 8.79 crores at the box office. Storyline
