Trivia
- The film's title 'Dharm Adhikari' translates to 'Justice of the Peace', directly reflecting the protagonist's role in his village.
- This was one of the few 1980s films where actor Jeetendra played a dramatic, non-dancing village patriarch instead of his usual romantic roles.
- Director K. Raghavendra Rao was primarily known for Telugu cinema, making this a notable Hindi directorial venture during his prolific career.
- The movie featured music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, a top composer duo, but its soundtrack did not achieve the same popularity as their other 1986 hits like 'Karma'.
- Actress Sridevi, a frequent co-star of Jeetendra in hits, is absent; the female lead was played by Jayapradha, another regular in Raghavendra Rao's films.
- The plot revolves around a false scandal, a common theme in 1980s melodramas that often highlighted societal hypocrisy in rural India.
- Despite its star cast, the film was not a major box office success and is less remembered compared to other Jeetendra films from that era.
