Suhaagan(1986)
Suhaagan is a 1986 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and produced by M. Arjuna Raju under the Roja Enterprises banner. The film stars Jeetendra, Sridevi, and Padmini Kolhapure in lead roles, with Pran, Tanuja, Raj Babbar, and Kader Khan in supporting roles. The story follows two sisters, Janki and Jyoti, and the consequences of Janki's decision to abandon her husband and child for a wealthier man. Set in a rural village, the narrative explores themes of pride, guilt, forgiveness, and the sanctity of marriage. The film is a remake of the 1982 Tamil film Enkeyo Ketta Kural. Its music was composed by Bappi Lahiri, with lyrics by Indeevar. Suhaagan was released in 1986 and is available for streaming on various platforms.

Storyline
Janki is a proud woman who marries Ram, a poor farmer, against her will. She never loves him and neglects their daughter. When a rich man offers her a better life, she runs away. Years later, alone and dying, she must seek forgiveness from the husband she abandoned.
