The story follows two sisters, Janki and Jyoti, and the consequences of Janki's decision to abandon her husband and child for a wealthier man. Set in a rural village, the narrative explores themes of pride, guilt, forgiveness, and the sanctity of marriage. The film is a remake of the 1982 Tamil film Enkeyo Ketta Kural. Its music was composed by Bappi Lahiri, with lyrics by Indeevar. Suhaagan was released in 1986 and is available for streaming on various platforms.

Storyline
