Star(1982)
Star is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language musical drama film directed by Vinod Pande. It stars Kumar Gaurav, Rati Agnihotri, and Raj Kiran in lead roles. The story follows Dev Kumar Verma, a middle-class young man who dreams of becoming a famous singer like Elvis Presley. He loses his job due to his obsession and finds work at a disco, where he falls in love with a singer named Maya. His dreams are shattered when he is attacked by a rival and discovers Maya loves his brother. The film is notable for its iconic soundtrack composed by Biddu and sung by Nazia and Zoheb Hassan. Despite the music's success, the film was a box office flop.
