→Trivia
- The film's title translates to 'One Night of Rain', but the story is actually a gritty crime drama set in Darjeeling, not a typical romantic rain song film.
- This was one of the few films where veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar played a negative role, portraying the corrupt merchant Sahuji.
- Director Shakti Samanta was known for romantic films like 'Aradhana', making this dark thriller a significant departure from his usual style.
- The movie features a memorable soundtrack by R.D. Burman, including the hit song 'Kya Yahi Pyar Hai' sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle.
- Parts of the film were shot on location in Darjeeling to capture the authentic hill station atmosphere for the village setting.
- Actor Parikshat Sahni, who played a key role, is the son of the famous writer Balraj Sahni, adding a legacy connection to the cast.
- Despite its star cast and director, the film did not perform well commercially, remaining a lesser-known entry in Shakti Samanta's filmography.
