Patita(1980)
Patita is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by I.V. Sasi. It stars Shoma Anand in the title role, with Mithun Chakraborty, Raj Kiran, and Vikram in pivotal roles. The story follows Rajni, a young woman who becomes a prostitute to support her impoverished family. The film explores themes of sacrifice, societal judgment, and the double standards faced by women. It is a remake of Sasi's own Malayalam film Avalude Ravukal (1978). The film features a soundtrack composed by Bappi Lahiri, with vocals by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.
