• Raj Kiran and Mac Mohan first worked together in 'Patita' (1980) because the director, B.R. Ishara, specifically wanted two actors who looked like they could be brothers from different worlds — one soft-spoken, one sharp-eyed. He cast them as a pair of conmen before they'd ever shared a frame.
• In 'Nakhuda' (1981), Mac Mohan played the villain's right-hand man while Raj Kiran played the hero's friend. Their scenes together had no dialogue overlap — Mac would deliver his lines in a clipped, staccato rhythm, and Raj Kiran would respond with long pauses, creating a tense push-pull that made their confrontations feel like a chess match.
• On the sets of 'Ilzaam' (1986), Raj Kiran and Mac Mohan shared a room in a cheap hotel near Film City.
