Vallakottai(2010)
Vallakottai is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by A. Venkatesh. It stars Arjun Sarja in a dual role as Muthuvel and his masked alter ego Vayuputhran. Haripriya plays the female lead Anjali, while Ashish Vidyarthi portrays the antagonist Nachiyar. The supporting cast includes Ganja Karuppu, Sathyan, Suresh, Livingston, Vincent Asokan, and Prem. The film is a remake of the 2007 Malayalam film Mayavi. The story follows an ex-convict who takes a job in the village of Vallakottai to earn money for a friend's brother's surgery. He discovers the real villains and creates a secret identity to fight them. The film is notable for Arjun's multiple costumes inspired by popular film characters like Kamal Haasan's Nayakan, Hrithik Roshan's Krrish, and Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean. The music was composed by Dhina. Vallakottai received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the action but found the plot predictable. The film was released on 5 November 2010.

Storyline
An ex-convict named Muthuvel gets out of jail and promises to take care of his friend's sick brother. He travels to the village of Vallakottai to earn money by pretending to commit a murder. But he soon learns the man he is supposed to kill is innocent. He creates a masked identity called Vayuputhran to fight the real villains and protect the village.
