• Venkatesh was a newcomer when he signed Chanakya (2005). Vincent Asokan, already a known face, personally asked the director to cast Venkatesh after seeing his audition tape.
• In Durai (2008), Vincent Asokan played the villain while Venkatesh played the hero. Vincent deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in their face-off scenes to make Venkatesh's reactions land harder.
• During Vallakottai (2010) shoot, Venkatesh and Vincent shared a room for 45 days in a small lodge near the set. They cooked their own meals because the location had no restaurants.
• Vincent Asokan once said in an interview: 'Venkatesh is the only actor who made me forget my lines on set. He would look at me with such intensity that I'd blank out.'
