Trivia

  • The film's title is a playful twist on a famous devotional chant, which surprised some audiences expecting a religious story.
  • Director Santhosh P. Jayakumar was previously known as a popular comedy writer for television shows before this film.
  • Actor Gautham Karthik, who plays the lead, performed his own stunts in the chaotic chase sequences to make them look more real.
  • The plot connects four separate storylines, a structure inspired by classic multi-narrative Tamil comedies from the 2000s.
  • Much of the comedy relies on the mix-up of identical black bags, a common but effective trope in screwball comedies.
  • The film's soundtrack was composed by Justin Prabhakaran, who was relatively new to Tamil cinema at the time.
  • It was shot quickly, with many scenes filmed in real public locations in Chennai to capture a lively, crowded feel.
