• Rajendran and Ravi Mariya first shared screen space in 'Hara Hara Mahadevaki' (2017) only because the director needed two bulky, intimidating-looking actors for a comedy sequence. Neither had worked together before, and the scene was shot in one take after they kept cracking each other up.
• In 'Rajavum 5 Koojavum' (2022), Rajendran would deliberately flub his lines to make Ravi Mariya break character. Ravi Mariya later admitted in an interview that he learned to stay in frame by using Rajendran's unpredictable timing as a cue for his own reactions.
• During the shoot of 'Gurumoorthi' (2022), the two shared a room in a budget lodge for 45 days. They developed a ritual: every morning, they'd argue over who had to wake up first to boil water for tea. The loser had to make tea for the entire crew.

• In 'Desingu Raja 2' (2025), Rajendran insisted on rewriting their shared dialogue to include more Tamil proverbs. Ravi Mariya, who usually improvised, had to stick strictly to the script for the first time — and later said it made him a more disciplined performer.
