Velaiyilla Pattathari 2 is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. It is the sequel to the 2014 film Velaiyilla Pattathari. The film stars Dhanush, Kajol, Amala Paul, Vivek, and Samuthirakani. Kajol plays the antagonist Vasundhara, marking her return to Tamil cinema after 20 years. The story follows civil engineer Raghuvaran as he battles the arrogant construction tycoon Vasundhara. He fights for his 200 unemployed engineer friends against her powerful company. The film was produced by Dhanush and N. Ramasamy under the banner of Wunderbar Films. It received mixed reviews from critics but performed well at the box office. The music was composed by Sean Roldan. The film was released worldwide on 11 August 2017.

Storyline
Raghuvaran is a successful civil engineer who fights for unemployed graduates. He refuses a job offer from the powerful Vasundhara. She feels insulted and uses her influence to destroy his career. Raghuvaran must save his company, his friends, and his pride from her ego.
