Jilla is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by R. T. Neason and produced by R. B. Choudary under Super Good Films. The film stars Mohanlal as Sivan, a Madurai-based crime boss, and Vijay as Shakthi, his adopted son who becomes a police officer. The supporting cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Soori, Sampath Raj, and Pradeep Rawat. The story follows Shakthi's transformation from a loyal protector of his father's criminal empire to an honest police officer after a tragic gas leak kills innocent children. The film received generally positive reviews for its performances and action sequences. It completed a 100-day theatrical run and outperformed its competitor Veeram at the box office. The music was composed by D. Imman.

Storyline
Shakthi is the adopted son of Sivan, a powerful crime boss in Madurai. He hates the police because a cop killed his father. When a new commissioner threatens Sivan's empire, Sivan forces Shakthi to become an IPS officer. But a tragic accident changes Shakthi's heart, and he must choose between his father and justice.
