• They first shared screen space in Jilla (2014) because director Nesan wanted a pair of bumbling henchmen who could also land jokes. Thambi Ramaiah was already cast, but Imman Annachi was a last-minute addition after the original actor dropped out.
• In Sandamarutham (2015), Thambi Ramaiah played the straight man while Imman Annachi did all the physical comedy. Imman would deliberately flub his lines to make Thambi break character, and the director kept those takes in the final cut.
• During the shoot of Strawberry (2015), the two shared a room in a budget lodge near the set. Imman Annachi later said Thambi Ramaiah would wake him up at 5 AM every day to practice their scenes together before call time.
