Dasavathaaram is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language epic science fiction action film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and written by Kamal Haasan. The film stars Kamal Haasan in ten distinct roles alongside Asin in a dual role, with an ensemble cast including Jaya Prada, Mallika Sherawat, and K. R. Vijaya. The story follows a biotechnologist who steals a deadly bioweapon and chases it across India as a mercenary hunts him. The narrative spans from the 12th-century Chola kingdom to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, exploring themes of faith, chaos theory, and the butterfly effect. The film won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film and Best Actor. It was released on 13 June 2008 in over 1,300 prints worldwide.

Storyline
A biotechnologist named Govind discovers his boss has created a deadly synthetic virus to sell to terrorists. He steals the vial and flees, but the package gets shipped to India. A ruthless ex-CIA mercenary named Fletcher pursues him, killing anyone in his way. Govind must retrieve the vial before it falls into the wrong hands.
