→Trivia
- The film's climax was shot in a real-life abandoned mall in Chennai, which was specially designed to look like a drug lord's hideout.
- Rajinikanth performed many of his own stunts in the action sequences, despite being nearly 70 years old at the time of filming.
- Composer Anirudh Ravichander used a unique 'whistle' motif in the background score to represent the villain's character.
- The role of the female lead was initially offered to a few other actresses before Nayanthara was finally cast.
- A special police uniform was tailored for Rajinikanth to give his character a more stylish and authoritative look.
- The film's title 'Darbar' refers to a royal court, symbolizing the protagonist's powerful and commanding presence as police commissioner.
- Some of the high-speed chase scenes were filmed using modified cars and rigs to achieve a more realistic effect without excessive CGI.
