Vattaram is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language action gangster film written, produced, and directed by Saran. The film stars Arya, Napoleon, and Kirat Bhattal in lead roles, with Ramji, Raaghav, Kadhal Dhandapani, and Avinash in supporting roles. The story follows Burma, the son of a chauffeur, who grows up on the streets after his father is framed and commits suicide. He becomes a gun dealer and infiltrates the family of the wealthy arms dealer Gurupadam to exact revenge. The film is notable for its stylish depiction of the illegal arms trade, a relatively unexplored setting in Tamil cinema at the time. It was released on 21 October 2006 during the Diwali festival.

Storyline
After his father is framed and driven to suicide, a young boy named Burma grows up on the streets and becomes a gun dealer. He infiltrates the family of the wealthy arms dealer Gurupadam, the man he holds responsible. Burma must win trust, navigate betrayal, and destroy the empire from within to get his revenge.
