Azhagesan(2004)
Azhagesan is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Arthi Kumar. The film stars Sathyaraj as the titular character and Prema as Nandini. The supporting cast includes Manoj K. Jayan, Pithamagan Mahadevan, and Manorama. The story follows a mentally ill man who protects his cousin from a cruel landlord and his son. The film is a remake of the 2001 Malayalam film Karumadikkuttan. It was shot at AVM Studios and on location in Ooty, Conoor, Kothagiri, Singara Estate, and Vandicholai. The music was composed by Deva. The film was released on 20 August 2004 with no publicity due to financial troubles during production. It received negative reviews from critics.

Storyline
Azhagesan, a mentally ill man with a pure heart, loves his cousin Nandini. Nandini falls in love with her college professor, but the village landlord's son Sekhar wants her for himself. When Nandini rejects Sekhar, he destroys her life. Azhagesan must protect her from Sekhar's cruelty and violence.
