7/G Rainbow Colony is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Selvaraghavan. The film stars debutant Ravi Krishna as Kadhir and Sonia Agarwal as Anitha. It tells the story of a lower-middle-class troublemaker who falls in love with a North Indian girl living in his colony. The film was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, with the Telugu version titled 7G Brindavan Colony. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who won the Filmfare Best Music Director Award for his work. The film received critical acclaim and was a commercial success, running for over 100 days in theatres. It has since gained cult status for its raw portrayal of unrequited love and tragic loss. Storyline
Kadhir is a lazy, angry young man who everyone thinks is useless. He falls in love with Anitha, a serious girl who initially ignores him. To win her love, he must get a job and change his life. But family pressure and a tragic accident threaten to destroy everything.
